Iosif Andriasov: "The Sorrow in My Melody", Op. 11 for Tenor and Piano Music Score.
In 1958, Iosif Andriasov composed the Romance “Vai le-le” for Tenor and Piano, poetry by Lydia Koydula. In the beginning of the 1970s, Iosif Andriasov asked Tatyana Korshilova to write a new text to his “Vai le-le” romance, with a new title “The Sorrow in My Melody.” Tatyana was a poetess from Moscow, and she obliged by writing a new text. Arshak Andriasov made a Viola and Piano version of this composition.

Vai le-le, vai le-le,
Vai le-le, vai le-le, le-le…
Hiding behind a window is the day…
Emptiness and silence became our home.
Sometime, very long ago,
The moon flickered at the window,
A wine’s goblet was sparkling,
And singing softly she was…”
